DA, INga! I am very happy to re-posted your devish mask portrait. Indeed, i like it very much--the intensity of the woman's single eye behind the black mask...both as rebellion and defiance....and the image is deeply erotic: the devilish African Mask as if the woman is part succubi behind the invisible shoulders of the demon, and yet, more richly is the impression of the woman's strength: that in truth the mask is subserviant to her--the depth of character in the eye and yet the gentle, tender way the mask is held: part Achilles schield, part banner, part protective umbrella.Above all, the "apparent" simplicity of the photo (which calls to my mind early films of Polanski) soon washes for the deeper, more interesting complexity of the woman in this corner...again, the inner life reveal....as usual with your images, filled with strong poetic tension...ochin :))
