What a splendid work of art, Karin! The faces of the couple are so expressive and the colors are simply mesmeric. I loved this image immediately as I saw it.
By the way, I don't understand why your image stay so short time on the site. Do you delete them or somebody else does and why? I think they are so good and deserve to be seen by many.
I agree completely with Roy. I love the simple pictorial display: making a new image from an existing one: simple photo of sculpture, which becomes not the recording of the sculptures, but new piece in itself: as if from a film: the gorgeous pink and the strange figure...and this broken red burn knee of scratch...it is a staged story, in which one is simply lost. I love it...and the humour as well..your image definitely contain POP sensibilities, but somehow, for me, more lingering then simple pop: let me let it linger...but, lovely, da!
Only thing I don't like is the shadow in the bottom left corner. Otherwise, vey interesting. Reminds me of a SF story I read many years ago - a boy found a very strange looking stone figure in the desert. He had a hammer and used it to knock a piece off the figure, to take as a souvenir. Many years later he happened to come to the same place of the desert. And the figure was still there... only, this time it had a suffering expression on its face, and its hand was touching the wound (where the piece was knocked off by the boy years before)... The idea of the story being that it was a living creature, only its time moved very slow by our standards...
