Andrei! i apologize for my silence last few weeks...as with your other work, this portrait is bold and has the strength of bone. Your photographs--vsegda--have the unyielding courage to confront either the viewer or the model...an intensity which is absolutely electric. I love the stark contrast here within its simplicity...as if his portraits (maybe all portraits) are actually attempting to undress...and reveal the skin beneath the fascade...as Arbus "abused" her models to reveal themselves...its a strong, strong, confrontation portrait...and yet, the deeper live is there for the taking...ochin :))
