Konstantin, Ha! I▓m far from being done with Barbie. But I wanted to wait until they made me an Orange Colonel before I took off the mask :-) This was shot last year in early December. Cades Cove is the best place in the U.S that I know for photographing deer. Beautiful landscape, lots of deer, and generally the deer could careless about humans. The downside is the park can get crazy on weekends and during peak leaf color. This year I wanted to go later and get snow, but it didn▓t snow this year until 2 days after I left :-( However, my main goal was to photograph the historic settlement in the moonlight. I haven▓t developed the film yet, but even if the photos don▓t turn out, the experience of walking with the pioneers of the past was very rewarding.
I've been there once late spring, stuck in the one way traffic on the loop road. Despite that, the place is magnificent and I'd like to revisit it soon.
